This cake is for a coworker's birthday. The bottom part (basket) is lemon cake filled with lemon curd and iced with lemon buttercream. The top part was baked in a Pyrex bowl, and is mini-chocolate chip devil's food with chocolate buttercream filling and icing. The flowers are all royal. (Many of the flowers only exist in my own imagination!) This is the second time I have done basketweave, and the first was 8 years ago in Course 2. I had a lot of fun doing this cake, and hope it survives the trip to work!

Thank you all for the positive comments. The cake was a definite hit at work. (only a tiny bit to take home to share with dh, who gave a lot of moral support and provided KP duty.)
