Ahhh, it is stunning. Someone asked me if I could do a butterfly cake for them in July. Might have to base the design (very badly by comparison) on this. Excellent job!

I have a green cake w/butterflies, too. (Not posted.) I used a tutorial here on CC. Your butterflies beat mine! :)

@marie- Thanks for the kind comment. I'll bet your was beautiful! @joaaaan-I'm not sure, since I haven't yet been faced with an outside venue. I would imagine that they'll droop pretty fast in the summer, though. Maybe you could make a few and put them out in the shade to see how they do?

I've never worked w/ 'chocolate melts' before & didn't know what kind of resiliance they may have...but I imagine if it's not a definate answer 'Yes' that they will stand up to outside temps then prob a definate 'No'. I have made buttercream iced cakes that stood up fairly well under the heat and hoped this was some sorta 'miracle chocolate'. All I really know about it is that it doesn't taste like milk chocolate so I never really applied myself to use them. But your butterflies sure make me...

Alas, it is not miracle chocolate! :( It's probably worse than regular chocolate, since it melts at a lower temp.
