This was a last-minute, throw-together cake. Torted fudge cake filled and iced with mint-flavored, sweetened whipped cream. Surrounded by soft peppermint sticks and tied up with a bow!
Where did you get the soft peppermint sticks? Looks very pretty & delicious and something one could make during the busy holidays but still cause a 'wow'factor! :D
Thanks everyone! The peppermint sticks are "Bob's" brand, I think. I bought them at the grocery store (Walmart has them too) - the clerk told me to get them early, b/c they sell out quickly. I also noticed that Cracker Barrel sells them year round, but I think they may be a slightly shorter length. They are also really good dipped in chocolate (makes a nice, semi-homeade gift). :)
