Lv -Type Purse
Birthday cake for a woman who LOVES her purses! I used her initials (TW) in the design in place of the LV. Covered in rolled BC, design done in several colors of royal icing. The cake had to travel 70 miles in the heat- didn't travel well! The BC began sliding off the cake and the handle broke. She loved it though! So much so that she refused to cut the cake! She saved it to take into work with her the following Monday to "show it off". That's a compliment!
This was made from 8" squares stacked and carved. Part of the travel issue was that I didn't use any dowels or supports and there was just too much movement in the layers.
