My first ever cake, a trial version of a christening cake. I decided to match the scheme with the theme of my son's room - bugs. I think it looks a bit too much like platecine and will probably go for a more tradition christening cake for the real thing. It is chocolate mud with a layer of marzipan followed by a layer of sugarpaste with hand moulded sugarpaste figures.
