Okay, as promised, here is the *finished* cake.  there will still be borders between the layers, I just don't do that until I get it on site.  It is fondant, gumpaste and buttercream.  This one was too much fun I think.

That is AWESOME!!! Can you tell me how you attached the tent to the pillars and what you used to make the points on the tent top?

The tent top is actually a 6" round cake that was carved. The peaks were carved as well and then the entire thing was covered in fondant. The Tent drapes are gumpaste rolled really thin and draped under the plate, then pinched to attach them to the pillars.
