This was my daughter's birthday cake. She obviously loves ladybugs. :) She applied the spots.

My first try at mmf.

Butter cake, apple filling and covered with mmf. Heads on smaller bugs are mmf and the grass is buttercream.

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, the kids are great helpers aren't they? All day long our daughter kept saying, "Thank you for bringing the ladybugs to life." :)

They are too cute! I am doing a lady bug cake next week, what kind of pans did you use for the bodies and the heads?

For the large ladybug, I used the sports ball pan. For the small ladybugs and the head of the large ladybug, I used the mini wonder mold pan. I really wanted to use the mini ball pan for the small bodies and head, but couldn't find one locally. :( The heads on the smaller bugs are mmf.
