Converse Cake

Converse Cake on Cake Central

I made this for my daughter's 14th birthday. She wanted it painted the same as her new boots, so it is all hand painted fondant! The logo is painted onto rice paper, and then mounted on a circle of white fondant. I am really quite pleased with it!!!

It took me two days, and three small slabs of angel cake! It is life size a uk4.5, us7 I think.

I'm sorry, I couldn't find any instructions at all, (even after googling to the small hours!!), so I just took some patterns from an actual pair, and made it up as I went along!

You should be pleased it looks so real. Chewing on a shoe isn't for just the dogs with a shoe like this. On the other hand it is too perfect to eat.

Absolutely brilliant! You did such a wonderful job, and added so many details, down to the marks on the rubber soles of the shoe. Great pattern work there. I'll bet your daughter was just thrilled. :)
