Did these in fondant. 50 minis in choc fond. and 50 minis in white fond. Topper is an 8" sq. done in choc. fond also, with gumpaste bow and fondant accent hearts and flowers.
:D this is just too adorable. Think of all the wonderful colours one could utilize for their event. I would like to know if the beads on the white fours are silver non perils or is this free-hand bead frosting? wow, the flower display is beautiful! as well as the hearts. i do love calla lillies. mmm
Thanks so much for the feedback, much appreciated :) bubblywhitewine, lets just say it took FOREVER:) to do these minis. I would say it easily took me 10 hours from start to finish for all 100 minis. I simple syrup and fill them, then freeze for a few, then I buttercream them and freeze them again, and then I cover them in fondant and do the detail work. These are 2 x 2 in sq. Stephaniescakesnj, I used regular fondant to cover them; Neeron, the beeding was Royal Icing colored dark brown.
this is great. Did the bride know what she wanted or did she tell you do whatever you think is best? How long did this take you and how did you do the bows on each mini cake?
