crimping is just using the crimping tool & "pinching" the icing... threading is cutting the fondant and slipping in a piece of ribbon... so it looks like you threaded it...

the white roses are "rubbed" with pink luster dust, and then a final sheen of cream luster dust over the whole flower to finish
