Superman Promotion Cake
This is not that special, just a gumpaste plaque and banner for a job promotion. I posted it mainly so you could see the wave design in the top of the icing. That is done with the serrated edge knife, people have asked about this method. You hold the bread knife in both hands, barely touch the teeth into the surface of the icing, slant the knife top towards you. Move your hands in wide side to side waves starting at the back edge of the cake top and working towards you till you reach the front edge.

Thank you. Didn't get to complete that post, for the side hold the same knife vertical with the tip touching the cake board, turn it in at an angle so the teeth just touch the cake icing move blade up and down in short zig zag pattern as you move around the sides of the cake.
