just put melted candy coating in a frosting bag....snip tip of bag to whatever size you want (width you want) the candles to be....they need to be a bit thick so that they won't break. You can let them harden at room temp., or pop them in the freezer to firm up....then i just squirted buttercream for the flame...hope this helps...

thanks so much for the nice comments.....molly really liked it....it was so much fun to make...i seem to lean toward these whimsical ones...i've not been brave to make a topsyturvy cake...they really intimidate me, but i just love looking at them...i wish i could have done this one like that
