Tribute To Dr. Seuss

Again, not a wedding cake but I don't see a whimsy cake category. Thank you Ted Geisel for your wonderful inspiration. This is actually a styrofoam cake dummy made for a friend who doesn't eat sweets. She collects and loves anything Seuss so this was my Christmas gift to her. Covered in fondant with gumpaste decorations.

:D That's hilarious. I remember years ago taking my kids to the drivein movies and all of us reading Dr. Seuss out loud.

Nice elephant. How did you stick him on? And is he "flat"? Did you cut out the pieces and put them together, or did you mold all one piece? He's very cute, BTW, and I just love the eyelashes!

So love this cake!!! I think I want it for my birthday. Dr. Seuss is the meaning of whimical to me. I made a cake once that people loved and said it looks so whimsical. I just love that word and pleased they used it on my cake. Thanks! :) :)
