Jo Jo The Clown

Jo Jo The Clown on Cake Central

This little "smash" cake was in addition to the big Jo Jo's Circus cake I did. When I told her grandma that I was going to make a smash cup cake for the little girl and they had no idea it was going to look like this! They loved it:)

I LOVE IT! I may do my daughter's 2nd birthday in Jojo's Circus, and cannot find many cake examples. Would you mind sharing details on how you did this cake and your other one? Pretty please? [email protected]

A smash cupcake is a little cupcake for the young birthday boy or girl. That way they get to smash it all up in their fingers and it doesn't effect what everyone else eats;) It's really just a personal cupcake. --- I made the nose, eyes, smile, hat and collar out of fondant. ---- Thanks! I'm glad you guys like it!

Honestly I used two of the mini wondermolds to make it. But you could more easily use the mini ball pan too! It's only about 6 inches big, if that.

Details: Jo Jo's face was made using two cakes from the Mini Wondermold pan. I stacked the cakes and iced them in white bc. After they were smoothed I rolled a snake of turquoise fondant and placed it around her neck. Using tip 12 I created hair from the top of her head down to the neckline. I made a flat circle with the turquoise fondant and placed it atop the hair. Then placed a small red ball of fondant on top of that. Facial features are all fondant!
