Black and white poppy wedding cake

I designed this cake to match the plates I found at Pier 1. I used a tumbler and a wine glass from the set to hold up the two smaller tiers. The curtains in the background came from Target, what a coincidence! This was a display cake for a wedding show. I made the poppies out of gumpaste with black stamens. I was really pleased with the result and it was fun to do.

This is soo nice...love the graphic design. Your icing is so smooth. Is it fondant or buttercream?

It was a display cake, so it was royal. Yuck, not much fun to work with, but easy to sand! I hope someone orders this cake so I can do it in buttercream.
