I mixed fennel, ginger, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon (all ground) and added to all-butter buttercream. That's it. Probably 1 t. of fennel and 2 t. of the others - I didn't really measure. Sorry! Just add a teaspoon or so to a batch of buttercream and then more to taste. Delish!
