Cheeseburger-Cheeseburger
I know this version of a burger isn't as realistic as others here on CC, but I decided to show it anyway--I think it's more kid-friendly (smaller portion size) as well as faster/easier. This version came from the Wilton's '97 yearbook & I've been making them for my kids' B-days for the last 9 years to bring to school. ALWAYS a HUGE hit! The buns were made in Wilton's muffin-top pan, the meat patty is choc. BC and cheese & fixins are BC.
Hi Duffgc, I think they are great! Is the cheese a rolled buttercream?
No, it's regular BC. I've always found that little kids don't like/appreciate the texture of fondant/rolled buttercream--so I used a flat tip (#150) and piped a ribbon of "cheese" around the outside of the patty--when you put the top on, you can just see the cheese peeking out.
Really nice! And you are right about kids not liking fondant! I like your way of making BC cheese.
