Baby Blanket... The Finished Product
This is the baby shower cake I learned in class. I added the roses and fringe to the blanket, but I think that next time I will add the fringe on the blanket before the blanket border goes on. Actually took it to DH's work for a baby shower (timing worked out, didn't it?) and they loved it.

Saran wrap. A doubled piece of Saran wrap is the base of the blanket. Basket weave on the wrap and carefully lift it from the corners, place it over the baby and tuck the ends to look like a blanket.
