This is the cake to go with the cookies. Top layer is chocolate with chocolate buttercream, bottom is white with berry preserves covered in buttercream. The entire cake is covered with fondant, real ribbon and gum paste flowers.
Did you use royal or buttercream icing for the trim? How do you keep the ribbon from absorbing the grease? I tried to iron with wax paper but it still absorbed the moisture. The cake is beautiful
thank you very much, the cake is covered in fondant so the ribbon does not absorb any grease. The trim is buttercream and does not seem to absorb into the ribbon.
