Knights To The Rescue

The event was a 4th grade author's night. The cake tells an open ended story of reading children crossing a bridge into a medieval realm converting into knights and princesses as they do. All pieces are gumpaste, cake is fondant.

Amazing job! I'm making my first book cake this week, and you've inspired me! Any tips on how to get the pages looking so great?

Thanks for the complement Mary V, 2 tips - I use a silpat mat to transfer my fondant pages and I froze the side of the pages to keep them from stretching and then applied them to the side of the cake. HTH.
