This is a close-up of the engagement ring. I cut the bottom of the band to push it through the fondant "cushion" of the ring box so it would be standing, but then I had to put a little patch of white fondant to cover a little tear.
I need to mention that I incorporated ideas for this from similar cakes by ellepal, mvucic, and mxpark - thanks for the inspiration - your cakes were beautiful!
This cake is so cute. You did an excellent job! My friend's fiance lost her engagement ring so she wants me to make a cake that looks like one. I would love to use your design if you don;t mind. Could you possibly tell me how you made it.
cute!!! i never thought of doing this as a cake! and you can't even tell that there was a rip! your blue is closer to the tiffany's blue than mine was.
