I like how this looks. Is the ball covered in fondant or buttercream? Did you use the sports ball pan? How stable was it? (I need to make a golf themed grooms cake in August.) :)
I did use the sports ball pan and it is covered in buttercream. It was stable once it was set up. I took it in two pieces to the party and then hot glued the dish the ball was sitting in to the top of the pillar. I also hot glued the pillar to the cake board and then cut the bottom cake in half to arrange around the pillar. :wink:
