My First And Last Wedding Cake
This is the cake I posted a thread about on Thursday night. I had 102F temp and every flu symptom imaginable!! It is a 10,8, 6 in with all buttercream and yellow cake. I did the dots with a tip#6. Silk rose petals!! It is not the greatest looking cake, but with all the problems I was having I am still amazed I even got it made much less decorated!!
Bless your heart! I once did a cake while I had Mono..not a good idea! Looks great! :D

thanks for the nice words...I just cannot handle the stress that comes with these things.. :D Kiddie cakes I never give a second thought, but a wedding cake is the cake that the bride has dreamed about since she was a child..I don't want to be the one to mess it up for her!!!

For being sick, it is beautiful. Believe me the first is always the most stressfull. After the 2nd one, you will be fine.
Thank you all!! One of the bridesmaids told me today that the bride LOVED the cake and got very excited when she saw it!! Thank goodness!!
I think that under the circumstances you did an AWESOME job! I'll bet it made you feel better just to know that the bride loved the cake. We all stress over things like this but you are your own worst critic. You did great and I hope that one day I can do a cake as good as that.
