Books We Love 1St Birthday

Books We Love 1St Birthday on Cake Central

This was my son's first birthday cake. The entire cake was "smashed" on one side to look like he had crawled up it to reach his smash cake (the top tier). Each tier was made for a favorite bedtime book: The bottom is Goodnight Moon with lines from the book printed and illustrated around the tier. The next is "I Love You Through and Through" again with the main line printed and the teddy bear from the book. The final tier was "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish".

I need to make an extra comment. I just saw your other pictures in your album and they are amazing. I hope you have your own business. I will buy a cake from you in a heartbeat!! and also, the pride and happiness you express by the comments in your pictures are wonderful!! ;-D

OMG! How this cake got its balance? I've seen other topsy-turvy cakes but they always seem balance out against gravity but this one is one-sided! Even the top looks like slipping off the stand! Amazing! 8O

What a creative idea! You did a great job on the cake and I love how you incorporated the themes from favorite books.

Fantastic ! I don't usually care for topsy turvy cakes but this one has a purpose and you carried out the reason for it perfectly. The little figure has the innocent look of a one year old too.

This is absolutely amazing? I have never done a topsy-turvy cake and don't understand how this stays upright. And the printing is perfect. Incredible work.

This is one of the greatest birthday cakes I've ever seen. I'm still trying to figure out how you defied gravity that way-it's amazing. Such a cool idea! Wonderful job!
