Simple Yet Pretty

Simple Yet Pretty on Cake Central

This was done with marshmallow fondant (thanks to jeking for her Alternative MMF Recipe here on CC it worked wonderfully well!) and royal icing roses. This was the first time Ive ever transported a cake fully assembled, because I knew it would take too long to do it at the reception. Thankfully it made it there in one piece! You cant really tell in the picture, but the roses each had silver lust dust and I dusted the entire cake with SuperPearl to give it a subtle gleam, because I thought the white fondant looked too flat on its own. I thought it gave a really pretty effect, but obviously it doesnt show up in the photo.

Thanks for the kind words! Nicole - I used a 14 inch, 10inch, and 6 inch layers. I made two layer and torted them, so I had 4 small layers per tier. This gave a little extra height.
