Ok so this a was suppose to be a giant cupcake but when i look at it I can't help but think it looks like an ice cream. Either way it's a fun cake that I made for my sister who is turning 36
The cake was a little over a foot tall. The top part of the cake was decorated seperatly from the bottom. I used bubble tea straws to support the top half of the cake.I used buttercream frosting and stuck the top right on. I made sure to fondant the cake from the narrow part of the lower half of the cake so that there was no fondant between the "cup" and the " cake".Then I stuck a dowel through the middle of the entire cake (to support it) and covered the hole by placing my faux candle on top.

thank you.Serindipity, I like that. Yes I did use fondant .I got the indentaions by using a balling tool on and pressing in to the cake with it.
this is really really gorgeous, how big was it?
