My first fondant cake for my babygirl's 9th birthday with a "diva-licious" theme. White caked covered in BC and rolled fondant. Spots hand painted brown paste thinned with lemon juice, vodka was not available without a road trip (i hate living in a dry county!) all elements were fondant except I cheated with a pair of mardi gras beads for the pearls due to inavailability of pearl dust on short notice...

Awesome job on the purse! I really love the painted design. The board and boa really set off the theme well too!

Thank you, i swear living in a rural area presents its own challenges, i wanted to find zebra fabric and contact paper to do the board, but my only option was walmart so i painted the board and found the boa at dollar tree! wish (wish i would have glued the edges better) i also made the little purse favors out of hot pink leopard print and they had a cd of "diva tunes" inside them, the whole table looked really cute, i had too much fun planning this one and kinda scared how much i think like a 9 year o...

thanks, yes little fondant balls on heavy guage floral wire, i hung it from the cabinet knob to dry before sticking it in the cake, the girls actually fought over who was going to get the handle, they made a necklace of it- kids are funny!
