My Bday Cake
I made this for my own birthday just a few weeks ago. I was very unhappy with the colors. I was going for more of a magenta color. And my Dad said the orange looked like cheddar cheese. :( But oh well. This was my first stacked cake. It was Funfetti cake (my favorite:) and Rainbow chip frosting.(storebought :P) I'm glad I messed up my own cake and not someone else's. I hope to do better with my future cakes.
well I think it looks pretty good for a first attempt....starting cake decorating at age 17....just wait until you are my age ( 28 ) you will be a pro instead of just starting out (as I am)!
Funfetti is my little guys fav....Okay so your colors didn't turn out the way you wanted them to , but look at how creative you got with your design. There is always something positive to be found in our goof ups. All you have to do is look for them!
I think its great for a first try... I've been decorating for 2 years (and have 30 yrs on you!) and I still won't even attempt stringwork - your's looks pretty good for the first time! Keep practicing and you'll out-decorate us all :)
