A Pretty Present
This was a client's request... was for her daughter's 1st birthday. As all my kids & nephews are boys, it's nice to do a cake for a girl for a change. Cake is choc (top layer) & swiss white choc (bottom layer), covered in bc icing & then fondant. Flowers are made from mexican paste - even the little itty bitty ones! Took quite a while to finish, but was fun!

:D Thanks heaps for the compliments guys... I have submitted the mexican paste recipe. It's very similar to gumpaste & fondant - dries hard like gumpaste, but is manageable for flowers like fondant. It isn't as prone to being affected by humidity either.
