Barnyard on Cake Central

My son's 3rd birthday..he wanted farm animals on his cake. With the help of this site and tips from all the lovely barn pictures I managed to do his cake. This was my first experience with fondant and baking!!!

Thanks everybody for the wonderful encouragement and support for a newcomer!!!. For the barn I took a loaf tin cake, cut it to size..then popped it into the freezer for couple of hours...took it out and shaped it with a knife. Allowed it to come to room temp before applying the BC & fondant. For the silo just stacked up oreos with BC and covered fondant. Hope that helps!!

So so cute! I'm baking a farm cake for my son's first bday next weekend. I think you and I used the same cake on this site for inspiration for the animals because mine are very similar :) I love the chicken on top of the barn! I made one little white rooster and wasn't sure where I was going to put him, but now I know! Thanks for more inspiration!

This is absolutely adorable! I love it! I live on a farm and will attempt this for my hubby one day...with some Boer goats added to the melange! :)
