Uuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhh on Cake Central

This is the absolute most catastrophic cake EVER!!! It hurts to even look at it again. This was for my daughters wedding of all things. The wedding was about 4 hours away, in the middle of summer and the backside collapsed and we had to use her blusher veil to cover that, the icing was trashed, thank God I made extra pearls...WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

G-Rho, your cake is absolutely beautiful. I love the look of the veil....that is what made me click on the picture. You do beautiful work. I know your daughter has the lasting memory that her mother made such a special cake for her....be very proud!

What a terrible thing to happen to such a pretty cake AND it being for your daughter. You did well to have that veil to help cover the accident. Hope the wedding and reception went well.

I'm so sorry to hear about your collapse on the backside, with that said, it's a beautiful cake...and the veil adds to the elegance already there. Take a deep breath and be proud, I'm sure your daughter loved it and you for making it for her special day!

thank y'all so much, we just received the pics yesterday. The veil was a great save, I'm glad she chose not to wear it. Everyone said the cake tasted wonderful, and the reception hall was candlelit. Thank God! Thanks again for your comments, I knew you guys would understand!

i like the look of the veil, it looks like you wanted it there, and the bow in the front accents it beautifully. the back side of my daughters cake started to fall, i pushed it back on and it heald through the wedding. nobody knew but me and my husband. im sure nobody knew what happened to your cake too.
