Ocean Fish Cake For Son's 1St Birthday
Made a 2 tier cake and a fish smash cake for my son's 1st birthday. I really wanted to pipe buttercream fish and put more decorations on the cake but it was difficult so I went ahead and used goldfish crackers. The BC was not clinging to the italian meringue buttercream frosting. The smash cake is a fish carved from the sports pans.

To make the fish I used the sports ball pan set, carved it, frosted it and then used sugar water to make the fins and tails. It was so much fun!!

Coconut299 - thanks. I made a swiss meringue buttercream and use a dough scraper to go around it and make it smooth.
