I would be curious to know how you did the ruffles. My niece wants a ballerina cake for her birthday in January. I'm merely a novice at this stuff so any instruction you would be willing to give would be appreciated.
Hi cmclearin .. so sorry I didnt reply earlier I havent been checking as often. But the ruffles are very easy. You can buy a tool for it at the cake supply shop- cant remember tool's name - or a cocktail/toothpick . Cut out a circle and roll the tool back and forth, with end of tool pointing at middle of cirlcle,all around. Ruffles will form. Voila! Hope this helps.

Oops make sure the circle cutter is a scallop one so you get the lace look. Cheers.
