Glamour Girl Make-Up Bag

Glamour Girl Make-Up Bag on Cake Central

This is a Boween "knock-off" cosmetic bag- thanks Connie for the design. BC frosting, fondant accents, edible pearls, fondant letters. The batter was done witha tye-died effect, so when they cut it- it was all different colors inside- especially neat since this was made from a 9 x 13. All the cosmetics were chocolate.

It is great--all the wonderful details down to the confetti. Love the name too. Please tell me, is the lipstick coral? How did you get the color?

margery- the lipstick is made from pink candy melts, but the super pearl dust changes the color a bit. I did use coral, but that is some of the confetti, the dangling thing and there is a big hand rolled flower on the back (you can see just the tips of two of the petals in the pic).

OMG! I love it. My daughter is having a glamour party and I would love to try it. Ambitious project for me. How did you get the green top and rim? Are the curlers made with candy melts also?

Cool! I am so jazzed to try this only my daughter now is thinking of something else. I will try this anyway as the salon that does these parties wants to package my cakes with the party so it would be a nice one to offer. I'll let you know if I have any other questions.

Curlers are candy melts. You can get the molds at www.intotheoven.com The top and rim are three parts...a flat oval piece that lays on the buttercream for pieces to go into. Then another long flat piece the is folded in half and sat on end and stuck into the bc. The last piece is hand rolled snake that just raps around the folded piece to cover the edge and offer some support. Pls PM if you have more questions. I am glad to help!
