Hi there. I am very impressed with your work. It's awesome! Very pretty. Now, you've inspired me to take up cake decorating lessons. I wish I can learn from you :)

Gorgeous! Did you transport it with the wires inserted in? I 'm doing a cake this weekend and would like to transport it with it already inserted.

on

Is transported as is yes , put together night before a good hint is to make a thin disc of the same colour icing as the cake is done in but add a little stiffener like cmc to it cut a disc stick it on the top , put all the wires in place with whatever is on them and then let dry overnight , never usually moves that way

on

this is lovely! I, too, would love to know what kind of wire you used. And how did you get the wires so straight? I bought wire than comes on a reel. Not goo!

on

The wire is made for cake decorating here and it comes in a pack of 20 strips about 30cm long , its 18 gauge (thats the thickness) and its covered in white paper. its very sturdy and I use so much of it the butterflies are hand cut , I drew a shape I liked on thick cardboard , cut it out and used it as a template then i slightly bend the cut out ones against something square so they look like they are flying , put the wire in straight away , they are then decoarted in royal icing once dry
