wow that's great! and what a perfect way to celebrate! hope the cake is ooey and gooey filling (like caramel)- 'cause none of that stuff will stick to braces now!

Great job! How did you do the braces? Did you use silver piping gel or did you paint the silver on? Well done, great idea!

I absolutely love this cake. Being a past braces wearer myself I think it is great. How did you get silver?

Thanks everyone for all the kind comments! I made the braces with fondant dusted with edible silver dust, i dusted it before applying to the cake. Hope everyone has fun with making this cake (and giving it !! :D

Very professionally done! Did you shape the teeth? What did you use to make the letters? They look perfect! :D

what a cute idea! I was thinking it was more for a dentist or orthodonist, but how cute to celebrate the removal of braces! I had them for 3 1/2 years, I deserved a cake too!

Hi, thanks for your compliments!! I cut the teeth, shaped them a bit with a knife/scriber tool of PME, the letters are made with a tappit also from PME or FMM ( i am not sure which one but it is from the UK). And Merissa, never too late to celebrate your perfect teeth (and smile!! :-D )

LOVE this cake! Congrats on the braces coming off. I was 45 when I finished mine. Don't you just love flossing now!! Cake is fantastic - only needs alittle salad stuck in there :D

Ahh! YOU made this cake. I have favourited this one. My daughter has braces and I thought this was very clever. Thank you for your comment on my music cake - I like to see what country comments come from and there was your smiling braces! :D I always tell my teacher that there is nothing that can't be made into a cake. You are only limited by your imagination!!
