I did these cookies for a mom who was going to visit her daughter at the University of Texas. She wanted flowers in the colors of the university. No fail cookies with royal icing.

I usually have my royal icing to the consistancy of corn syrup and use a plastic spoon to spread the icing on the cookie. For the outlining I thicken up the frosting by adding a couple of teaspoons of powdered sugar and use a #1 or #2 tip for details.
those are very pretty ATM cookies! Did you thin out the royal and paint it ? What tip? I want my cookies to look that good!
