I just used some luster dust mixed with lemon extract and also used some paste color to paint...thanks all! Yes I love this bedding, its SO cute but I have all boys. :-D

For the plaid I just took something straight and dipped a brush in a bit of color (see above) and carefully made the lines along the straight edge.
