We live in the city of Tzfat, in northern Israel. The first barrage of Katyusha rockets fell on my son's seventh birthday. When we came back home six weeks later, we celebrated his birthday with this cake. The Hebrew words are part of a verse in Isaiah (2,4): "they shall beat their swords into plowshares". This is an attempt to turn a Katyusha missile into a planter.
