You are so talented. The cake is beautiful! Your god-daughter must have been thrilled.

My daughter did love it. Three months later she's still asking for another Princess Castle Cake.

how many hours to make this? How much$$ do you charge?
SandyV 1/24/07 at 4:28pm
wow! this is amazing! are the side towers cake? or MMF covering cardboard tubes?
kelleym 1/24/07 at 4:31pm
Thanks everybody. The towers are cardboard tubes with a cake ice cream cone stuffed in the top, then all wrapped in fondant. Pink-fondant wrapped waffle cones are on top of those. I did not sell this, it was a gift for my god-daughter, but I would have to charge at least $150 if anyone wanted to actually purchase one. No one has yet! ;)

Great Job on cake and that a deal on the price!!!!!!!!! How did you do the brick look??
CranberryClo 4/25/07 at 12:19pm
This is a fabulous castle! I love it! I'm betting the brick look was from those texture sheets that can be found near the clay items at a craft store?
kelleym 4/25/07 at 12:21pm
The brick look is a brick impression mat, available many places online, just google "brick impression mat".

Excellent, perfect castle! When you attach the towers do you cut off the corners of the cake?
kelleym 5/2/07 at 11:48am
Yes, I do notch out the corners of the cake. A full tutorial is available on www.cakeboss.com :)
