The bride today wanted a cake to show off her gerbera daisy theme. It was so fun!

I hope so! While I was setting it up today, an elderly gentleman approached me to let me know he was responsible for moving it later on that night. It was about 40-50 lbs. I nearly fainted! The lovely man was about 80 and quite tiny. I asked a waiter to make sure to help him!! I took a few extra photo of the cake "before" anything happens tonight. Now I won't sleep!!

I would estimate that the fondant is between 1/4" and 1/3" thick. It might seem thick, but it looks awesome and each guest only gets a little bit really...which they don't have to eat! My trick is to semi-freeze the cakes (2 to 3 hours) then fondant using a smoothing fondant paddle, NOT your hands, or you'll get those awful ridges that show every cake and filling layer inside..grrrrrrr!

Beautiful!! The fun use of color ensures knowledge that this is going to be a delicious confection when consumed! *drool* It always makes me feel a little bad to know that something this pretty will eventually be cut up and eaten. (No matter how delicious it looks)

all the detailing are just done in fondant. I stick my fondant onto a fondant cake by dipping my finger (or brush) in warm water and wetting the back of the piece (NOT DAMP THOUGH OR YOUR COLOUR WILL BLEED!!) just sticky and slightly wet.

Your cake looks fantastic :) What are the circles etc made of, and what do you use to stick them on?? (I'm very new to all this and have to decorate a cake for my sister, very similar to this!)

I just LOOOVE all your cakes!!! They are gorgeous!! I read your tip on how you keep your fondant smooth but I always have a problem in once I place the fondant over the cake and start to lift to stick to sides of cake I end up having too much fondant and have creases and have to rub them closed especially in tall cakes. How do you avoid this?I need help from experts like you!

I love this cake! These are the exact colors that I am using in my wedding and this is the first cake that I truly like. Could you tell me about how much a cake like this costs?

What size cake pans did you use? Did you use the contour pans? The edges are so round. I love this combination of color and design.

I love your cake. I am making a cake for a big birthday next weekend and I am truly inspired. I hope I can come close to what youhave. I just love all your designs! I did have a questions about the top flowers. Do you put them in a small dish?
