Thanks so much... and Yes, it is all fondant, layer over layer of fondant. And to do the face, I did cut outs of the different parts (enlarged a picture of his face) and with the paper parts traced on top of the fondant. It is pretty simple but took me a looooong time.

Thanks so much! The nose is just a piece of fondant shaped like it (I used one of my son´s SB toys as a model) when I was happy with the look I used a skewer to hold it in place. I didn´t use any gum and left it to dry over night inside my oven with the light on. It did great. Thanks for asking!

Wow! This looks so realistic! (well, as realistic as SBSP can be) I like how his nose sticks out of the cake, that's a really nice touch. I saw the picture you have on the forums, I think it's of your son and this cake; his reaction to the cake was as good as the cake itself!

I just want to say what an amazing spogebob, my son will be turning 2 in May and i have been searching for a nice cake but yours is just incredible. Do you mind if I try to make one like? He would really love it!!
