actually, that's just how i chose to do my scrolls that day...if you look through my photo's, you'll see that i can manage to do the reverse shell border just fine...but thanks for your 2 cents anyways

I like the scrolls that way. I think if they were tighter they might take away from your beautiful roses.
I think the cake is beautiful, and I agree the borders are wonderful and accent the roses beautifully!
Lovely cake!! The border is not too much for the flowers - shorter tails and tighter scrolls would likely have upset the perfect balance.
