First Pic - Bridal Shower Cake
Ok everyone - be honest!! I have been decorating for 2 mos and this is my first "official" cake so any suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated!! (I already know the handwriting is horrible - my LEAST favorite thing to work on) Anyway, the cake itself is red velvet with all buttercream.
I think it looks beautiful. Your roses are terrific and I especially like the top border!

I use the 104 (or whichever petal tip you happen to be using that day. No need to dirty up another one) and with the fat end at the top make a 1/2 moon between each shell, while pulling the tip towards you and down. Does that make sence? It's really much easier than I made it sound!!!

UM Hello!!! :? Your writing is the first thing I notice that was perfect! It's straight and you know what!!!!! That's all that matters to me!!!!!! I despise having to write on a cake so I invested in edible images....the cheaters way out!! :P
