Zamode, I did like the taste--not as sweet as buttercream. You should have seen me though in the kitchen when adding the melted sugar mixture to the kitchen aid. Very soupy at first, shooting out all over. I had a fine mist of it all over the front of me, the cabinets, counter, etc. Other than that it pretty easy to make. It doesn't crust but is fairly easy to smooth. I remember using the paper towel method when the cake was chilled. As long as it was cold, it worked pretty well. It warms up quickly fr...
