Strawberry Shortcake Topsy Turvey
My first attempt at a topsy turvey/whimsical cake, made just for practice. The design is a variation on a Wilton one. It's okay, but I'm not thrilled with it. It looks smooshed to me. I think I needed more height in the tiers.
Thanks everyone. I definitely want to try one again with taller tiers. kettlevalleygirl- the strawberries are fondant. I used Americolor Super Red to get the color. It took a little extra but, I got the color I wanted.
I think it looks great! In my experience, the bottom and top layers I have made about an inch taller than the others.

Well Done, I am going to be trying to do this cake on the weekend, I don't think I will do the topsy turvey way though, but....are your strawberries fondant?? if so, how did you get them so red....Thanks.
Maybe thicker layers next time but it looks great and the slant is great!
