If yoy don't want to push the toys so far down into the cake you can lift up their dresses and hot glue a craft stick or popcicle stick to their toosh and the back of their legs amd then they become really large cake picks and you only have to push them down until their feet touch the cake, and when your finished the hot glue usually peals of without trouble.

This cake is adorable. I would love to make this for my daughter's birthday. Where did you find the horse cookie cutter and is there any support under the main part of the carriage? Is it just sitting on top? :princess:

The horse cookie cutter is from the Wilton 50pc animal set, but you can get just a horse cutter from websites like pinenose.com for under $1.00. The carriage it is made with the Wilton sports ball pan and is just sitting on top of the other cake. I put a dowel through it and into the bottom cake so it wouldn't roll off. The wheels are just pushed in the frosting and leaning on the carriage, but the horses have a popsicle stick attached to their back leg with royal icing that is pushed into the cake.
