My Second Wedding Cake!
This one was done the day after my first one, after a 9 hour trip to my parents! Whew... I did this one as a gift for my friend. She went out on a limb letting me do her cake, because I had no experience. Practicing for this cake is what really fueled my passion and got me going on cakes! :) Thanks to cakesbyjess for the inspiration and help! And, thanks to everyone else who offered advise throughout the whole process!

Oh my God that is beautiful!!!!!!!! The draping also gives it a very theatrical look ..... a great cake for an opening night celebration of any kind, in addition to being a great wedding cake. Wow!
Ohhhhhh ... you did such a BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!!! I LOVE the red drapes and swags against the white fondant. The flowers are the perfect finishing touch, too. You did a wonderful job!!!!! I'm sure your friend must have LOVED the cake!!!
