Girl Babyshower 6/2007

Girl Babyshower 6/2007 on Cake Central

Chocolate amaretto cake w/ bavarian filling. I finally realized a tip to making MMF smooth! Ha, live and learn. It's to make the mmf a day ahead. I normally make it the same day & use it right awya and could never get it smooth or from ripping. But I used leftover MMF for this cake and it was soo much easier and was just like how I see on TV. I know it's not 100% smooth but it is a huge improvement from my cakes before.

Your fondant is sooo smooth! I refridgerated mine the night before but, it still seemed to show every flaw underneath! How thick do you apply it? Your cake is adorable! :D

thanks everyone! Lauarakelly2, I made the MMF the night before but I don't ever refridgerate the MMF I either wrapped in saran then tupperware or vacsac it and leave in pantry. I roll it to as thin as I can ....I would say about less than 1/4" thick. hth.

thank you. I just use 1 bag mini marshmellow w/ 1 tbs of water and about 2 lb powder sugar. I believe it's something bunnylady recipe.
