I feel you. Yours turned out better than mine FOR SURE. I didn't charge near enough and it hasn't been my best work (I haven't even posted the pics- so that should tell ya something!) I'm amazed at how smooth the head is...great work!
Good job jsmith. But I totally agree. The one I did (that's very similar to yours but I used RKT) I charged $75 for, and I didn't charge enough. You did a great job.
The red part was half a ball pan, the head was a styrofoam ball covered in fondant. the shoe was carved cake, the black parts are plastic dowels covered with black fondant and the ears, hand, and slide are fondant but you might want to try something else for the slide like paper since it broke and was unstable.
My 10 month old is clapping his hands for this cake!!!! Good job! He loves Mickey, I wish I could attempt something like this for his 1st birthday, but I'm just a beginner, don't know if it would even be worth the try at this point.
